I'm Shane. I might only wear my five favorite shirts for a month and sometimes I wish it would get colder again so I can wear my jeans.
I'm from Massachusetts. Some people hate it but I think its a pretty swell place.
I take in a lot of media every day. My bookmarks are poorly organized. My browser might have four windows open at any time with a few dozen tabs between them.
This is my attempt to curate some of the more meaningful content I find that I want to be able to find again.

Kyrgyz herders adore their cell phones, which they acquire by trading and keep charged with solar-powered car batteries. Though useless for communication—cellular service doesn’t reach the isolated plateau—the gadgets are used to play music and take photos.
That reminds me. Big Boi played a rapper named “Gots Money’ in Law and Order SVU. GOLD.

Estraven and Genly from The Left Hand of Darkness by Ursula K Le Guin. I have started a project to read through all of Le Guin’s books recently because I forgot how really beautiful and fascinating they are. Left Hand is probably her most famous sf book; it reminded me a lot of Dune on some aesthetic points.
Was reminded that I started working on this a while ago on seeing Magnolia’s fanart yesterday. Now there are like 4 or 5 drawings from this book on the internet. Anyway read this book.
